 Red Lake Falls - Bruce J. Radniecki, 57, of Red Lake Falls, died Sunday, Oct. 2, 2011, at his rural Red Lake Falls home surrounded by his loving family.Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 5 (today) at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Oklee. Casket bearers include Tony Radniecki, Greg Radniecki, Ron Lindberg, Gary LaCourisiere, Fred Sorensen and Richard Perreault. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. Bruce John Radniecki was born Feb. 13, 1954, in Thief River Falls, the son of Virgil and Therese (Fortier) Radniecki. He was raised near Oklee and attended country school at Pleasant View School District 34. He attended high school in Oklee, graduating in 1972. He then attended Wadena Technical College, receiving a degree in heavy equipment operation. He worked construction with Mark Berberich, worked at the Brooks Elevator for a time, then moved to Plano, Texas, where he lived for 10 years and was part-owner of a construction company. Bruce moved back to Minnesota and worked for Roseau Concrete and for the last five years he lived in Red Lake Falls, where he farmed with his brother-in-law Fred Sorensen until 18 months ago when he was forced to retire due to ill health. Bruce loved fishing at Lake of the Woods. He also loved his nieces and nephews and spending time with family and friends. Bruce was a proud godfather to Sam Rustan. Family gatherings were a favorite of Bruce’s where he enjoyed playing cards, especially pinochle. In his younger years, his passions were horses and motorcycles. Bruce’s work ethic is what defined him. He was invaluable to his brother-in-law, Fred, on the farm. Bruce is survived by his mother, Therese Radniecki of Thief River Falls; brothers and sisters: Stephani (Dick) Kalar of Shoreview, Roxanne (Fred) Sorensen of Red Lake Falls, Deborah (Richard) Perreault of Waseca, Steven (Renee) Radniecki of Twin Valley, Tom Radniecki of Oklee, Geraldine (Errol) Rustan of Oklee, Randolph (Lori) Radniecki of Sumner, Wash., Mary Kay (Randy) Robidoux of New Berlin, Wis., Gayle (Steve) Grossman of Staples, John Radniecki of Fargo, N.D., Genevieve (Mitch) Radniecki-Hayle of Bemidji and Danielle (Gary) Parenteau of Hawley; 30 nieces and nephews: Mark (Amy) Kalar, Gary Kalar, Jessica (Tim) Ollhoff, Greg (Carol) Sorensen, Stephanie Sorensen, Fred (Sara) Sorensen, Chad (Laurie) Perreault, Dawn (Darin) Thureen, Nicole (Todd) Hering, Tyler (Erin) Radniecki, Tara Radniecki, Sam Rustan, Anna (Steven) Stoll, Emma Rustan, Gustav Rustan, Clara (Chris) Zimmerman, Taylor Radniecki, Allie Radniecki, Cameron (Katy) Robidoux, Craig (Jenny) Robidoux, Carrie (Aaron) Green, Josh (Ashley) Grossman, Travis (Stacy) Grossman, Ryan Hayle, Ryan (Jake) Wiltermuth, Dominic Hayle, Grace Hayle, Ryan Parenteau, Marc Parenteau and Andraya Parenteau; 21 great-nieces and nephews: Alexander Kalar, Emily Sorensen, Hallie Sorensen, Skya Wilson, Dominic Wilson, Fred Sorensen IV, Jamie Perreault, Kaitlyn Perreault, Madison Perreault, Keaten Stoll, Keira Robidoux, Keilee Robidoux, Aviana Wiltermuth, Anika Wiltermuth, Caden Green, Izabella, Green, Allison Hering, Emily Hering, Zachariah Thureen, Abigail Thureen and Cecilia Ann Kalar.
