    Red Lake Falls - Sharon Seurer, 67, died on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2011 at Sanford Hospital in Thief River Falls.
     Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 26, at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Thief River Falls, with Rev. Bert Foster officiating. Casket bearers included Brandon Seurer, Bart Colden, Larry Seurer Sr, Larry Seurer Jr., Bob Kofstad and Spencer V. Johnston.  Interment was held at Greenwood Cemetery, Thief River Falls.
    Sharon LaVonne Johnston was born Dec. 30, 1943 in  Roseau, the daughter of Vernon and Alma (Hanson) Johnston.  She was baptized in Warroad at the age of 10 and later confirmed in Warroad. She attended elementary school and middle school in Middle River, Greenbush and Roseau. She completed high school in Warroad and then attended college in Hungry Horse, Mont., where she obtained a degree in computer technology. She also attended NCTC in Thief River Falls.
     She was united in marriage to Darell Colden in 1960, until 1975. Sharon grew up in the Roseau and Warroad area and moved to Thief River Falls in the late 1970s. In the early 1980s, she moved to Montana and moved back to Thief River Falls in 1995. She married Larry Seurer Sr. from 1981 until 2000.
     Sharon was employed at the Dam Town Tavern in Hungry Horse, Mont., Arctic Cat Inc., in Thief River Falls and Johnson’s Boarding Home, Thief River Falls, until early retirement.  She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, cooking, baking, reading, most recently, Jeanette Oke novels. She loved all her pets over the years, but most of all she loved spending time and visiting with her family.
     Survivors include children: Bart Colden, Bret (special friend, Kari) Colden and Brandon (Renee) Seurer; nine grandchildren: Danielle, Tyler, Kristina, Brianna, Jennifer, Alanda, Autumn, Kaden and Devin; sister: Barbara Robinson and brother: Spencer (Carol) Johnston.
     Preceding Sharon in death are sons: Lenny and Lonny “Tyke” Colden; parents; grandparents: Maternal, Magus and Meline Hanson and Paternal, Myrtle Hale and Dan Johnston.
