    Portland, Ore. - Tyler Vagle, 32, of Portland, Ore., formerly of Thief River Falls, died Friday, Sept. 2, 2011.
     Memorial Services and a time to share memories will be held at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Thief River Falls on Saturday, Sept. 17,  at 2 p.m., with Rev. Fred Martin officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
     Tyler Marshall Vagle was born Nov. 5, 1978 in Thief River Falls, to Marshall and Jennifer (Homstad) Vagle. He attended school in Thief River Falls, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1997.
     Following high school, Tyler worked for several years in the Minneapolis area, employed in the IT Industry.
     Tyler returned to school in 2005 and graduated from Northland Community College, Bemidji State University and had begun the Masters program in English at Mankato State University. He recently accepted an IT position in Portland.
     Tyler’s hobbies included anything computer related, especially digital photography and music. His favorite pastimes included cooking, and creative writing. He enjoyed playing disc golf, and he loved his cat, Scruffy.
     Tyler is survived by his parents, Marshall and Jennifer Vagle of Bemidji; sister, Stacey (Andy) Fougner of International Falls; brother, Matthew (Melissa) Vagle of Phoenix, Ariz.; nieces and nephews, Savanna Stratton, Kaleb and Sydney Fougner, Mychala, Alex, and Arianna Vagle; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and good friends.
     Preceding him in death are his grandparents, Grant and Edna Vagle, and Cliff and Gen Homstad.
