Larry Ellingson, 70 Anchorage, Alaska - Larry Lee Ellingson, 70, of Anchorage, Alaska, and formerly of Goodridge, died at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage on Monday, Aug. 29, 2011. A graveside gathering will be held Saturday, Sept. 17 at Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls at 2:30 p.m. at the site of his parents’ grave. Mildred Fossell, 87 Thief River Falls - Mildred “Milly” Fossell, Thief River Falls, died on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011, at Life Care Medical Center in Roseau. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10 (today) at the Evangelical Covenant Church, Thief River Falls, with Rev. Bert Foster officiating. Interment will be held at Karlstad Cemetery, Karlstad. A complete obituary will appear in the next edition of The Times. Mark Anderson, 65 Brainerd - Pastor Mark L. Anderson, 65, of Brainerd, formerly of Thief River Falls, died at his home Monday, Sept. 5, 2011. Funeral Services for Pastor Mark will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10 at Crosslake Lutheran Church in Crosslake. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to services. Briggs, 78 Thief River Falls - Eddie Robert Briggs, 78, of Thief River Falls, and a former longtime resident of Crookston, died in a traffic accident in Crookston on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 13, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Crookston, with Rev. Steve Bohler officiating. Visitation will be held at the Stenshoel-Houske Funeral Home on Monday, Sept. 12, from 5 to 7 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service conducted by Rev. Aaron Zuch of St. John’s Lutheran Church. Visitation will also be at Our Savior’s for one hour prior to the funeral. Interment will be held at the Oakdale Cemetery in Crookston. A complete obituary will appear in the next edition of The Times. Violet Gagner, 90 Red Lake Falls - Violet Gagner, 90, died on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at Riverview Health in Crookston.
