 Thief River Falls - Palma “Polly” Heieren, 93, died on Thursday, April 14, 2005 at Oakland Park Nursing Home in Thief River Falls.
  Funeral Services were held on Monday, April 18 at Abundant Life Church in Thief River Falls, with Rev. Wesley Langaas officiating.  Casket bearers included Casket bearers included Elton Hornseth, Jesse Hornseth, Todd Hornseth, Joshua Sorenson, Stephan Sorenson, Greg Machart and Tom Machart. Interment was held at Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls.
 Palma Nora Hornseth was born July 17, 1911 in Thief River Falls,  the daughter of Peder and Nellie (Neilson) Hornseth. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls. Palma attended country school, the NW School of Agriculture, Crookston, and Union Business College, Grand Forks, N.D. 
 Palma was united in marriage to Orville Harold Heieren, June 26, 1948 in Thief River Falls. The couple made their home in Thief River Falls where Palma worked for the City Utilities Department.  She was head bookkeeper for 34 years and her office was located in the city auditorium. 
 Palma’s interests included knitting, crafts, flower beds, gardening, and feeding the birds and squirrels.
 She was a member of Abundant Life Church, Thief River Falls.
 Survivors include 14 nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Emil (Audrey) Heieren; and sisters-in-law, Kathryn Peterson and Janet Heieren all of Thief River Falls. 
 She was preceded in death by husband Orville in 1993; three brothers, Rudolph, Theodore, and Einar; her parents; and sister-in-law, Hannah Hornseth.
