 Erskine - Adrian Benedick, 89, of rural Erskine, died peacefully with his wife by his side on Friday, April 8, 2005 at his home.
  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 13 at 2 p.m. at Saron Lutheran Church in rural Erskine, with Rev. Alan Arneson officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour before the funeral at the church. Interment will be held at theSaron Lutheran church cemetery.
 Adrian Mansfield Benedick was born on September 11, 1915 in St. Paul. As an infant, he moved with his parents, Louis and Olga (Sorkness) Benedick to Pettibone, N.D., where they lived for 10 years. He also lived in Jamestown, N.D., where he attended school. Adrian was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. He came with his parents to the Erskine area where he lived from 1938 to 1941.
 Adrian was married to Selma “Sally” Seter on June 22, 1940. They moved to Chicago, Ill. for 10 years during which time he entered the U.S. Army and served from 1944 to 1946. He was a radar instructor and mechanic. In 1951, they returned to the Erskine area and Adrian worked as a mechanic and then worked at Garden Valley Telephone Company from 1954 until his retirement in 1983. His wife Sally died in March 1991.
 Adrian was an active member at Saron Lutheran Church. He served as president and custodian for the past 40 years. He had a great love for music and was well known for his fiddle playing.
 He married Gloria Jean Qualley on May 28, 1993.
 Survivors include his wife, Gloria; daughter, Jill (Stephen) Cooper of Mission Viejo, Calif.; son, Jody (Leah) of Oklee; stepchildren, Deb (Barry) Rewertz of Plummer, Dianna (Steve) Piper of Bismarck, N.D., Nancy (Todd) Gustafson of Red Lake Falls,  Michael (Rhonda) Qualley of West Fargo, N.D., and Jody (Sue) Qualley of Fertile; four grandchildren; 16 step-grandchildren and two great step-granddaughters .
 He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Sally.
