 Glyndon - Leila Baumann, 75, of Glyndon, died on March 31, 2005 at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, N.D.
 Funeral services were held on Monday, April 4, at Wright Funeral Home in Moorhead. Interment was held at Riverside Cemetery in Glyndon.
 Leila was born on July 11, 1929 to John and Adolfina Kitzman in Elgin, Ill. She grew up and attended school in the Fessenden, N.D. area, where her parents farmed. As a young girl, Leila and her sister, “Kitty” often sang together, including a live performance on WLS radio in Chicago in 1942.
 Leila was married to Harold Baumann on December 15, 1948, in Minot, N.D. and she worked as a waitress there for a short time. Harold and Leila lived in numerous communities in Minnesota and North Dakota as they raised their family.
 Leila’s family brought such joy to her life, and she always loved family gatherings and celebrations. As the family grew, she spent precious time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
 Leila enjoyed sewing, quilting and made many gifts for her family over the years. Leila had a love of nature, especially birds and flowers, and enjoyed an occasional fishing trip with her family. Leila was a devoted mother, grandmother and loved to cook and bake for her family. Her memory will live for ever.
 Leila is survived by her eight children, Michael (Roberta) Baumann of Thief River Falls, Ronald (Deb) Baumann of Deer Creek, Paulette (Tim) Schreiber of Glyndon, Jerome (Wendy) Baumann of West Fargo, N.D., Stan (Dianna) Baumann of Moorhead, Debra (Steve) Olafson of Menagha, Laurie (Tremayne)  Ebertowski of Grand Forks, N.D. and Rob (Diane) Baumann of Nevis; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; her husband, Harold Baumann of West Fargo, N.D., one brother, Herbert Kitzman of Jamestown, N.D. and several nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law Dorothy Kitzman of West Fargo, N.D.  A00003B2005AR06
