Greenbush - Ned Peterson, 92, of Greenbush, died on Thursday, March 31, 2005 at the Greenbush Nursing Home in Greenbush.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Greenbush, with Pastor Bryce Fellbaum officiating. Casket Bearers were Jeff Peterson, Art and Harvey Berge, Dennis Olson, Larry Engen and Mike French. Honorary casket bearers were his grandchildren and step-grandchildren. Interment was held at Bethel Lutheran Cemetery in Greenbush.
Ned Peterson was born Nanford Ardell Peterson, the son of Ole and Jensina (Olson) Peterson on March 14, 1913 in Nereson Township, Roseau County.
He grew up and attended school there. He married Adelia Olson on June 30, 1940 in Badger. They farmed for many years in Huss Township, southeast of Greenbush. He also worked on the Alaskan Highway and other road construction for many years. In 1990 they retired and moved into Greenbush. Adelia died on February 28, 1998.
Survivors include one son, Derald (Carmen) Peterson of Los Angeles, Calif. one daughter, Sharon (Lambert) Schires of Greenbush; nine grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and a special friend, Helen Larson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two brothers, Perley and Clarence and his sister, Beatrice Kopperud.
