Red Lake Falls - Antionette “Nettie” Perreault, 95, died on March 27, 2005 at Riverview Hospital in Crookston.
Mass of Christian Burial will held be at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2005 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls, with Father Tim Bushy presiding. Interment will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery in Terrebonne.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 31, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls, with a 7 p.m. prayer service on Thursday evening and also at the church for one hour prior to services on Friday.
Antoinette Marie “Nettie” Remick was born in Donnybrook, N.D. on December 13, 1909, the daughter of George and Antoinette (Heiker) Remick. Nettie was united in marriage in 1929 to George Perreault at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls. The couple lived near Terrebonne. They then moved to a farm east of Brooks, in 1933.
The couple returned to Terrebonne in 1937. In 1941, they moved to John Helm’s farm, spent five years there and then later moved to the Perreault Homestead. In 1974, the couple moved to Brooks, at the Senior Circle. In 1979, Nettie and George celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary. George died in 1980. Shortly after, Nettie moved to the Sunview Center in Red Lake Falls, where she lived until she died.
Nettie loved to crochet, belonged to the Red Hat Society, was an avid gardener, especially flowers and was known as the “Teddy Bear Lady.” Nettie also loved to play cards, bingo and scrabble.
Nettie is survived by one daughter, Sister Clariet of Crookston; four sons, Francis (Ann) of Red Lake Falls, Steve of Fargo, N.D., Mike (Mary) of Kirkland, Wash. and Ralph (Deb) of Red Lake Falls; 13 grandchildren; 15-great grandchildren; one sister, Helen Brule of Apple Valley; three brothers, Bernard (Jeanette) Remick of Red Lake Falls, Edward “Bill” (Marion) Remick of Lansing, Mich., and Kevin Remick of Arizona; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George; one son, James; her parents; one sister, Marion Aho; and four brothers: George, Dan, Joe and Ken Remick.
