 Thief River Falls - Harryet Irene Larson, 79, died on Monday, February 28, 2005 at her home in rural Thief River Falls.
  Funeral services were held on Thursday, March 3, at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Holt, with Rev. Nancy Hanson officiating. Casket bearers included Jerry Swaser, Mark Reierson, Greg Brekke, Jerry Muzzy, LeMar Rantanen, and Jerry Sorenson. Honorary casket bearers included Lance Solberg, Keith Solberg, Kent Kleinwachter, Andrew Coykendall, Harry Kling and Roger Benitt. Interment was held at the Holt Cemetery in Holt.
 Harryet Irene Lufkin was born on May 14, 1925 in Thief River Falls, the daughter of Alfred and Gunil (Reierson) Lufkin. She attended grade school and high school with her class of 1943, in Thief River Falls.
 On November 25, 1943, Thanksgiving Day, she was united in marriage to Lloyd Larson, near Holt. After several years of farming, they moved to New York and later to North Dakota, before returning permanently to their farm, 10 miles north of Thief River Falls.
 Harryet was a homemaker. She liked to embroider, can jellies and vegetables, visit with friends and family and shop. Harryet’s specialty was remembering others on their birthdays and anniversaries.
 She was a member of Holt Nazareth Lutheran Church and a member of the Esther Circle. She was a long-time member of the West Steiner Homemakers Club and had been active as a member of the Holt Keenagers. Twice, Lloyd and Harryet were elected Outstanding Senior Citizens to represent Holt at the Warren County Fair.
 She is survived by her husband, Lloyd of Thief River Falls; daughters, Marlo Solberg and Julie Kleinwachter of Thief River Falls, Karlene Larson of Abilene, Texas and Ronda (Roger) Nelson of Fargo, N.D.; seven her grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; special people, Harry Kling, Eugene Kleinwachter, and Jackie and Shandelle Kangas.
 She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Orville and Art Lufkin; sisters: Myrtle Seeger and Esther Caillier; and two grandsons.   A00003B2005MR09
