Greenbush - Arthur M. Anderson, 77, of Greenbush, died on Sunday, January 23, 2005 at the Greenbush Nursing Home in Greenbush.Funeral Services were held on Saturday, January 29 at the United Free Lutheran Church of Greenbush, with Pastor Ken Hart officiating. Casket bearers included Andrew and Aaron Anderson, Barry Kirkeide, Mark Geroy, Greg Bjerk and Martin Pederson. Military Honors were provided by the Moen-Zimek Post 88, American Legion of Greenbush. Interment was in Pauli Lutheran Cemetery, rural Greenbush. Arthur Marvin Anderson Jr., the son of Arthur Marvin and Alma G. (Pederson) Anderson Sr., was born June 17, 1927 in Greenbush. He was baptized and confirmed at Pauli Lutheran Church in rural Greenbush. He attended school in Pelan and in Lind Township, District No. 33. Art farmed at home before enlisting in the U.S. Army. He served in the Army from 1951 to 1953, stationed at Fort Lewis, Wash. Art married Helen Kirkeide on February 20, 1954 at Pauli Lutheran Church. In 1957 they moved to the Twin Cities. They returned to this area and from 1969 to 1981 he was a General Contractor in Building Construction. He then farmed from 1981 until his retirement. Art was a member of Moen-Zimek Post 88, American Legion of Greenbush. He is survived by his wife, Helen; two sons, Leland (Loretta) Anderson of Denver, Colo., and Larry (Diane) Anderson of Brainerd; five grandchildren; one sister, Delores Bjerk of Dilworth and one brother, Delford (Arlene) Anderson of Anoka.
