Newfolden - Darlene Beverly Wilson, 71, of rural Newfolden, passed away January 22, 2005 at the CNC unit, Northwest Medical Center after a prolonged illness with cancer.
Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, January 25, at New Hope Lutheran Church in Newfolden, with Pastor Ollie Urdal officiating. Casket bearers included Jesse Wilson, Nicholas Wilson, Matthew Wilson, Myles Koop, Richard Moen and Lance Moen. Interment was held at Bethlehem Cemetery in New Solum Township, Marshall County.
Darlene Beverly Dengerud was born at Madison, August 13, 1933. She grew up in the Newfolden area with her parents, Ole and Hannah (Staie) Dengerud.
On October 28, 1958 she was united in marriage to Boyd Wilson. The couple lived in rural Newfolden, where they raised their six children. She worked at Arctic Cat, raised chickens, owned a White Wash Business and did housekeeping for commercial and private homes.
Darlene enjoyed flowers, birds, gardening, helping other people and was a very creative lady.
She is survived by her husband, Boyd, Newfolden; children Marvin Wayne of Dixon, Calif., Margaret (Hal) McCullough, Hanover, Kan., Larry Wayne of Drake, Colo., Laurice (Curry Graham) Anderson of Woodland Park, Colo., Scott Wilson of Newfolden, John Wilson of Newfolden; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several half-sisters and a half-brother.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Ole and Hannah Dengerud and an infant daughter, Rose Marie Wayne.
