Karlstad - Terry Lee Pearson, 48, died as the result of an in-line-of duty ambulance accident on Tuesday morning, January 4, 2005
Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 8 at Tri County School Gymnasium in Karlstad, with Pastor Gary Halverson officiating. Casket bearers included John Baker, Virgil Allen, Dustin Johnson, Edwin Johnson, Daryll Foss, Ben Iversen, Spencer Johnson, Andrew Johnson, Roseau EMS and Tri – County EMS. Interment was held at Riverside Cemtery in Lake Bronson.
Terry Lee Pearson, the son of the late Luverne and Flossie (Gladue) Pearson, was born on February 29, 1956, in Altona, Canada. The family resided in East Grand Forks, Hallock, and Lake Bronson, and Terry graduated from Karlstad High School in 1974. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Terry attended Northland Community College in Thief River Falls and St. Cloud State University.
He drove truck for North Star Transport of Thief River Falls, worked for Big A Auto, Cenex in Lake Bronson and Karlstad, and for Tires Plus in several communities. On June 21, 1994, Terry was united in marriage to Malainna Johnson in Crookston. For the past 3 years, he had been employed at Polaris Industries in Roseau.
From 1994 to 1997, he was an EMT with Tri– County EMS in Karlstad, and from 2001 to present, at Roseau EMS. .
He is survived by his wife, Malainna; two daughters: Sara and Fallon, both at home; his step-father, Lawrence Lind of Lake Bronson; three brothers, Lary (Laurie) of Culberton, Mont., Tracy (Sue) of Fargo, N.D.,; and Jamie (Dawn) of Spirit Lake, Iowa.; two sisters, Jodeen Stark of Yorba Linda, Calif., and Tammy (Randy) Fossum of Rugby, N.D.; in addition to several aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents. A00003B2005JA12
