  Red Lake Falls - Timothy Zutz, 55, died on Sunday, January 2, at Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls.
  Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 6, at St. John Lutheran Church in Red Lake Falls, with Rev. Arthur Ohlwine officiating. Casket bearers include all of Timothy’s Red Lake County Highway Department fellow employees, past and present.  Honorary casket bearers include all of Timothy’s family, friends, nieces and nephews. Military honors will be provided by American Legion Post of Red Lake Falls and VFW Post 2793 of Thief River Falls.  Interment will held at  Immanuel Cemetery in Wylie.
 Visitation will be 3 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 5, at Johnson Funeral Service in Red  Lake Falls,  with a 5:30 p.m. prayer service and for one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.
 Timothy Charles Zutz was born July 7, 1949 in Crookston, the son of Louis and Frieda (Busse) Zutz.  He was baptized and confirmed at St.  John Lutheran Church, Red  Lake Falls. He grew up and attended school in Red  Lake Falls. On January 27, 1969, he joined the United States Navy. Timothy was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Service Medal. 
 He was honorably discharged on November 19, 1970. Following his discharge he became employed with Elk River Concrete in Crookston. Tim worked the last 27 years for Red  Lake County as a road grader operator. He did part time work for Dan Jolly Trucking.
 In February of 1976, Timothy was united in marriage to Vickie Harmoning in Red Lake Falls.
 He was a life member of VFW, Thief River Falls and 49’rs Union. Timothy enjoyed camping, fishing, ice-fishing, deer hunting, 4-wheeling and outdoor activities, but mostly he enjoyed spending time on the family farm.
 Survived by fiance, Deb Wilmot of Red Lake Falls; children, Shane (Mya) Zutz and Paula (Jared) Comstock all Thief River Falls;  grandchildren, Tayton and Gunner;  brothers and sisters, Janet (Jerome) Skjerping of Thief River Falls,  Betty (Bud) Kruse of St. Hilaire,  Lolly (Norbert) Pastir of Roseau,  Karen (Bill) Philion of Minot, N.D., Connie (Larry) Kennedy of Grand Forks, N.D., Margie Walters of Atlanta, Ga., Hal (Nona) Zutz of Grand Forks, N.D. and several nieces and nephews. 
 He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Louis Zutz Jr., niece, Patty Kruse and brother-in-law, Jim Walters.    A00003B2005JA05
