  Thief River Falls - Janet Schneider, 65, died on Thursday, December 30, 2004 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, N.D.
  Funeral services were held on Tuesday, January 4, at Zion Lutheran Church with Rev. Gary Johnson officiating. Casket bearers included Dennis Rontanen, Thomas Manning, James Williams, David Rude, Jeff Schneider and Jeff Lancto. Interment followed at Landstad Cemetery, Sanders Township in Pennington County.
 Janet Cavell Hahn was born on July 6, 1939 on Bell Island, Newfoundland, Canada, to Lewis and Florence (Spracklin) Hann.  She was baptized and confirmed at St. Cyrpians Anglican Church of England on Belle Island. Janet attended the West Mines Anglican Elementary School, and the Church of England Academy High School. 
 In 1959 she was united in marriage to Peter Wiseman and made their home in Belle Island, Newfoundland,  Canada. 
 In 1967 she and her family moved to Barrie, Massachusetts, where she worked at the Barrie Textile Co for seven years. Upon closing of the Textile Co., Janet moved to Thief River Falls,  in 1975. 
 In 1979, she was united in marriage to Lester Schneider at Zion Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN.  Janet was employed by the Super 8 Motel (Country Inn and Travel Host) for twenty-one years.  In 1996 she retired due to ill health. 
 Janet enjoyed working in the yard and spending time with her grandchildren. She was also a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls. 
 Survivors include her husband, Lester of Thief River Falls, one son, Ricky (Sue) Wiseman of Warroad; one stepson, Luke Schneider of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.; five grandchildren; one special adopted granddaughter, Vicky Christianson; one brother, William (Margaret) Hann of Toronto, Ontario, Canada; three sisters, Vivian (Jim) Brown of Prince Edward Island, Canada, Violet Hann of Windsor, Ontario, Canada; Florence (Harry) French of Portugal Cove, Newfoundland, Canada; and several nieces and nephews, and five great-grandchildren. 
 She was preceded in death by both parents, grandparents, one brother Hubert, two sisters Doris and Myrtle.  A00003B2005JA05
