Viking - E. Audrey Anderson, 63, died on Monday, December 6, 2004 at the Good Samaritan Center in Warren.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, December 9, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Viking, with Rev. Luther Peterson officiating. Casket bearers included Jessica Kemp, Jacob Anderson, Jordan Anderson, Aaron Knoll, Austin Knoll, Amerae Knoll, Kaylea Bienek and Arianna Anderson. Interment was held at Viking Cemetery in Viking.
E. Audrey Aasand was born on May 13, 1941 in Oslo, the daughter of Melvin and Marie (Flaten) Aasand. She spent her early years on a farm west of Argyle. She attended school in Argyle. Audrey was united in marriage to Roger Anderson on May 21, 1960 in Stephen. They made their home in Viking, where they farmed. Audrey also worked at the Good Samaritan Center for several years. Roger died on September 29, 2004.
Roger and Audrey were named the Valley Farmer and Homemaker of the Year in 1984.
Audrey was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and it’s WELCA and a 4-H leader for many years.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren and being at the lake.
Left to mourn her passing are her children, Dawn Knoll of Warren; Kevin Anderson of Fargo, N.D., and Scott (Kristie) Anderson and Michael Anderson, all of Viking; eight grandchildren; three sisters, Marlene (Lorne) Johnson of Argyle, Sharon (Paul) Haug of Champlin, Phyllis (Donald) Stinar of Warren and Everett (Jan) Aasand of Drayton, N.D.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two grandchildren, Abigail and Justin.
