Hallock - Isak B. Isakson, 89, died on Saturday, December 4, 2004 at Kittson Memorial Nursing Home in Hallock.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, December 7, at the Karlstad Gospel Tabernacle in Karlstad, with Pastor Mark Hanson officiating. Casket bearers included Kris Hatten, Kirk Hatten, Douglas Hatten, Mike Kroplenicki, Clifford Brosdahl, Sam Grandstrand, Kelly Hatten and Roger Tulibaski. Interment was held at Lundeby Cemetery in Karlstad.
Isak Brede Isakson, the son of the late Andres and Inga (Heier) Isakson, was born on December 25, 1914, in Augsburg Township of Marshall Co., near Stephen. He attended school and grew to manhood there. He farmed in Augsburg Township for many years, and spent his winters at Las Cruces, N.M. On January 4, 1969, Isak was united in marriage to Bertha Nelson in Robin. She died on March 18, 1990, and on September 11, 1993, he married Lucy Brosdahl at the Karlstad Gospel Tabernacle in Karlstad. They made their home in Las Cruces, N.M., during thewinters, and in Kennedy during the summer months.
Isak was a long-time member of the Karlstad Gospel Tabernacle. He had been in failing health for several years prior to his death on December 4..
He is survived by his wife, Lucy and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives, including his “special grandson,” Kris Hatten of Grand Forks, N.D.
Isak was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Bertha, and one sister, Dorothy Isakson in 1962. A00003B2004DC08
