Red Lake Falls - John “Jack” Draeger, 88, died on Monday, November 22, 2004 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 3, at 11 a.m. at Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls, with Father Tim Bushy officiating. Interment will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Red Lake Falls.
Visitation will be on Friday one hour prior to the service.
John Draeger was born January 6, 1916 in Badger, the son of Joseph and Caroline “Lena” (Eckstein) Draeger. In 1943, the family moved to Red Lake Falls and in 1950, his parents purchased a farm west of Plummer, where Jack farmed with his parents. He lived there until moving back to Red Lake Falls in 1970, where he continued to reside. On March 19, 1999, he entered Hillcrest Nursing Home.
Jack enjoyed playing cards and visiting with others at Hillcrest.
Survivors include his sister, Helena Bennett of Ashland, Ore., along with several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Leona Siebel.
