 Warren - Roger Duane Mattison, 66, of Warren, died Tuesday, January 3, 2006, at his home.
  Funeral services were held   Saturday, January 7 at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Warren.
 Roger Duane Mattison was born on October 4, 1939 in Plummer, the son of Christ and Esther (Hoole) Mattison. He was raised in Plummer and graduated from Plummer High School in 1957. He served in the United States Army from 1957-1959. After his discharge, he worked for his brother Gene at Eastside Service.
 Roger married Carol Nelson on June 10, 1962 in McIntosh. They moved to Warren in 1963, where he was employed by Quality Motors. In 1967, he began working at Midwestern Gas, later known as Viking Gas Company of Angus. He became a foreman and retired after 30 years.
 He loved hunting, fishing, woodworking, mechanical work and gardening.
 Left to mourn his passing are his wife, Carol; son, Todd Mattison of Warren; two daughters, Jodi (Tim) Kuznia of Hillsboro, N.D., and Tammy (Arik) Payne of Baudette, seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Beverly Terhark of Altoona, Wis.; three brothers, Marlyn (Marlys) Mattison of Zumbro Falls, Willis (Julia) Mattison of Osage and Gary (Janice) Mattison of Rochester; sister-in-law, Jan (Jerry) Freitag of Plummer and several nieces and nephews.
 He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gene.
