Karlstad - Lloyd T. Hermanson, 93, died Thursday, December 29, 2005, at the Karlstad Healthcare Center in Karlstad.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 3, at the United Free Lutheran Church in Greenbush, with Pastor Ken Hart officiating. Casket bearers included all of Lloyd’s grandchildren . Interment was held at Pauli Cemetery in rural Greenbush.
Lloyd T. Hermanson, the son of the late Tron and Theodora (Lieberg) Hermanson, was born on October 24, 1912, in Pelan. He attended school and grew to manhood there, and was baptized and confirmed at the Pauli Lutheran Church near his home. On March 12, 1939, Lloyd was united in marriage to Clara Wolff in Pelan. The couple lived and farmed in the Pelan community for many years. Lloyd was a life-long member of the Pauli Lutheran Church there. Since March of 1998, he had resided at the Karlstad Healthcare Center in Karlstad.
He is survived by his wife, Clara; two sons, Richard (Shirley) of Drayton, N.D.; and Jim (Shelly) of Roseau; one daughter, Sandy Carlson of Thief River Falls; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; in addition to several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; one son in infancy; and his son-in-law, Gary Carlson.
