 Stephen - Arnold Joseph Kostrzewski, 80, of Stephen, died Friday, December 16, 2005, at his son’s home in Karlstad.
  Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 21 (today), at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Stephen, with Father Bob Stone offering the Mass. Visitation will be one hour prior to Mass on Wednesday morning. Interment will be held at St. Stephen's Catholic Cemetery in Stephen, with the Collins Funeral Home of Karlstad in charge of funeral arrangements.
  Arnold was born to Theodore and Anna (Budziszewski) Kostrzewski, March 19, 1925, in Wanger Township, rural Stephen. He was a life-long resident of the Florian/Stephen communities.
 He married Adelle Troska on October 24, 1950, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Warren.  They made their home in Stephen, where they farmed, as well as, owned and operated Adelle’s Café. Adelle passed away October 7, 1993. 
 Arnold was a member of the Church of St. Stephen, a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus, and a member of the local Lions Club. Arnold enjoyed farming and spending time with his family. He was a quiet man and a great listener. Other interests included his love for music (whether it be listening, singing, or dancing) and playing cards.
 He is survived by one son, Perry (Bonnie) of Karlstad; five daughters, Pam Hvidsten of Grand Forks, N.D., Penny (Dennis) Rapacz of Burnsville; Paulette Anderson (Rick Harbott) of Thief River Falls, Priscilla (Rick) Steinke of Stephen, and Petula (Ron) Gohdes of Parker, Colo.; several grandchildren; one brother, John (Maggie) of Stephen;  three sisters, Natalie Adolphson of Argyle, Joan Pawlowski of Warren; and Audrey Frazier of Reedsport, Ore.; in addition to many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
 Arnold was preceded in death by his wife; and infant son, Dennis; one grandson; brother, Evald and son-in-law, Dan Hvidsten.
