Middle River - Daniel Emory Syverson, 43, died Sunday, December 11, 2005 in Middle River.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 17, at the Free Lutheran Church of Roseau. Interment was held at the Salem Cemetery in rural Roseau.
Daniel was born November 27, 1962 in Roseau. He grew up in the Pencer area of Roseau County and attended school in Malung and Roseau. He was later married to Tammy (Dunham) for five years, Fayette (Harmon) for three years, and most recently Mary (Swenson).
He worked at several jobs, including Fevold’s in Roseau and Marvin Windows and Doors for 10 years. His main occupation was as an auto mechanic. He worked at Mende Automotive in Warroad, and most recently at Husky-Johnson in Middle River. He also worked part-time for the Roseau River Watershed District, carpentering, and as a grave digger. He also volunteered at the Middle River Fire Dept. and at the Middle River Goose Fest.
Dan was a jack-of-all-trades, who cared about people. He had a great sense of humor and loved his grandchildren very much.
He is survived by his four children, Dale Syverson of Roseau, Derek Syverson of Middle River, Brenda (Michael) Vivier of Rolla, N.D. and Daniel Dybedahl of Middle River; three grandchildren; mother, Eleanor (Larry) Gustafson of Roseau; siblings, Pat (Les) Hagen of Roseau, Eileen McDonagh of Roseau, Pamela Matthews of Roseau, Donna Burkel of Badger, Clifford Syverson of Truman, Rose (James, Jr.) Grugal of Wannaska, and Paul (Gail) Syverson of Baltic, S.D.
He was preceded in death by his father, Palmer; grandparents, Olga and Adolph Vertina; and Peter and Caroline Syverson.
