 Thief River Falls - Doris Larson, 87, died Saturday, December 10, 2005 at Valley Home in Thief River Falls.
  Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 13, at Zion Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, with Rev. Gary Johnson officiating. Interment was held at Rindal Cemetery, rural Viking.
  Doris Christine Hanson was born September 4, 1918, in Saco, Mont., the fifth of 10 children to John and Emma (Grytdal) Hanson.  She was baptized into the Lutheran Faith and confirmed at Rindal Lutheran Church. In 1922, she moved to Rosewood, with her parents. She attended Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls.
  On April 10, 1941, Doris was united in marriage to Arthur B. Larson in Thief River Falls. She was employed at M&D CafĂ©, Thief River Falls, for many years and then worked at Forsberg’s Inc. for 11 years. She always enjoyed being at home with her two children while they were growing up.
  Doris was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls and was a member of Rindal Lutheran Church. She was active in various church organizations and a member of American Legion Auxiliary. Doris loved to cook and bake and in all aspects, was truly a homemaker. Her entire life was her family. Music was a major part of her life, whether it was a rock-n-roll band or family reunion sing-a-longs.
  Doris is survived by son, Chuck (Tami) Larson of Lake of the Woods; daughter, Becky (David) Forsberg of Thief River Falls; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Harold (Myrt) Hanson of St. Louis, Mo., Harvey (Venice) Hanson of Thief River Falls, John (Joyce) Hanson of Pequot Lakes; step-sister, Myrtle (Ray) Johnson of Thief River Falls; sisters-in-law, Opal Hanson of Spokane, Wash., and Marian Hanson of Grafton, N.D. and many nieces and nephews.
  She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; brothers and sisters, Margaret Hipsher, Lucille Bergman, Raymond Hanson, Arnold Hanson, Alice Brubakken and Esther Brubakken.
