Oklee - Harold Burthwick, 81, died on Thursday, December 1, 2005 at McIntosh Manor Nursing Home in McIntosh.
Funeral services were held on Monday, December 5, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Plummer, with Rev. Jonathan Dodson officiating. Casket bearers included Kelley Burthwick, John Burthwick, Daniel Burthwick, Terry Burthwick, Jeff Burthwick and Dennis Burthwick. Interment was held at Emardville Cemetery, Emardville Township, Red Lake County.
Harold James Burthwick was born on January 20, 1924 in Northwood, N.D., the son of John and Ida (Hagen) Burthwick. Harold attended Country School and worked as a farm laborer in the Hatton and Northwood, N.D. area. He moved with his parents to a farm by Plummer, in 1946, where he operated a dairy farm and also raised cattle. Harold, in later years moved to Oklee. He was a recent resident of the McIntosh Nursing Home in McIntosh.
He loved to visit with his friends and neighbors and enjoyed traveling around the area on his four-wheeler.
Harold is survived by two brothers, John (Joan) Burthwick of Seattle, Wash., and Budd (Karen) Burthwick of Bovey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Kenneth, William, Dale C. and Bill; and one sister, Irene. A00003B2005DC07
