Middle River - Pamela Fay Peterson, 42, died unexpectedly at the Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls on Tuesday morning, November 1, 2005, at the age of 42.
Funeral services were held on Friday, November 4, at Our Saviours Lutheran Church in Thief Lake, with Pastor Jim Field officiating. Casket bearers included Erick Peterson, Cody Peters, Paul Sistad, Randy Cwikla, Mark Peterson and Bradley Kilen. Interment was held at Spruce Valley Cemetery in Middle River.
Pamela Faye Peterson, the daughter of Elaine (Cleaveland) and the late Erick “Buddy” Peterson, was born on December 17, 1962 in Greenbush. She attended school and grew to womanhood at Middle River and was baptized and confirmed at Our Saviours Lutheran Church of Thief Lake, near Middle River.
Pam graduated from Middle River High School in 1981 and attended the University of Minnesota at Crookston for a year. She was employed at Oakland Park Nursing Home in Thief River Falls and at Hardee’s. Several years ago, she moved to the Royal Manor Apartments in Middle River and was employed at Grand Central Graphics.
She was a life-long member of Our Saviours Lutheran Church of Thief Lake and was a member of the Middle River Women of Today, as well as the Middle River American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed traveling throughout the U.S. and especially enjoyed her nieces and nephews. Her computer and the Internet were an important part of her life.
She is survived by her mother, Elaine Monsrud of Middle River; one sister: Lisa (Ron) Beito of Roseau; three brothers Mike, also of Roseau; Sheldon (Gail), of Warroad; and Dean (Cynseri), of Poplar Grove, Illinois; in addition to several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Pam was preceded in death by her father in 1985 and her grandparents.
