 Thief River Falls - Gloria Jean Rostvet, 58, died Thursday, September 29, 2005 at her daughter’s home in Fargo, ND, following a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family.
  Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, October 3, at St. Bernard’s Church, Thief River Falls, with Father Tim McGee presiding. Casket bearers included Gloria’s sisters, Joann McDonald, Lila Cook, Shirley Gudmundson, Ruth Laidlaw, Cathy Hell and Barbara Dalzell. Interment will be held at St. Bernard’s Catholic Cemetery, Thief River Falls.
  Gloria Jean Bourbanis was born September 30, 1946 in Langdon, N.D., the daughter of Jerome and Lillian (Gustafson) Bourbanis.  She was baptized and confirmed at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Walhalla, N.D. She grew up, attended and graduated from Walhalla High School in 1965.
  On July 17, 1965, Gloria was united in marriage to Marvin Hartley Rostvet in Walhalla, N.D.  In 1970, the couple moved to East Valley Township, near Middle River, MN, where they bought a farm. They farmed until 1996, when they moved to Smiley Township, near Thief River Falls, where they raised small grain and cattle.
  Gloria was employed at Land O’ Lakes processing plant, Variety Sales and Digi-Key all in Thief River Falls.  She was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church and Ringbo Homemakers.  She enjoyed cross-stitching, crossword puzzles, Bingo and vacationing with her sisters. Most of all, Gloria loved spending time with family and friends.
  Survivors include daughters, Wannetta (Lee) Wilhelm, East Grand Forks and Sharon (Kirk) Hanson of Fargo, N.D.; four grandchildren; four brothers, Lloyd (Karen) Bourbanis and Gary (Linda) Bourbanis, all of Walhalla, N.D., Gerald (Faye) Bourbanis of Park River, N.D. and Glenn Bourbanis of Seattle, Wash.; six sisters, Joann McDonald of Dilworth, Lila (Gary) Cook of Karlstad, Shirley Gudmundson, Mountain, N.D., Ruth (Less) Laidlaw, Fargo, N.D., Cathy Hell of Seattle, Wash., and Barbara (Jeff) Dalzell of Blaine.
  Preceded in death by husband, Marvin, December 1, 2004; parents; brother, Glenn Bourbanis in infancy.  A00003B2005OT05
