Grand Forks, N.D. - Genevieve Storbakken, 82, of Grand Forks, N.D., died on Sunday, September 4, 2005 at the Valley Eldercare Nursing Center, Grand Forks, N.D.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 7, (today) at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, East Grand Forks. Visitation will be two hours before services at the church. Interment will be held at Bigwoods Cemetery in Oslo.
Genevieve Storbakken was born May 3, 1923 in Northwood, N.D., the daughter of Albert and Helen (Yahna) Landman. She grew up near Kempton, N.D., and graduated from Logan Center School. She worked in Grand Forks, N.D.
She married Ralph Storbakken in 1945. They lived and farmed in the Warren and Oslo area. Ralph died on September 3, 1953. She married Hildus Storbakken on November 29, 1958 in Warren. They lived in Warren, until moving to East Grand Forks in 1968. Hildus died April 29, 1986. She moved to the 4000 Valley Square in 1999.
She is survived by two daughters, Rita (Robert) Wald of Thief River Falls, Beverly Storbakken of Crookston; one son, Ken (Bonita) Storbakken of Grand Forks, N.D.; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one brother, Leonard Landman of Larimore, N.D.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands and one sister-in-law, Betty Landman.
