Warroad - Patricia Marie Hamlin, 53, died on August 17, 2005 at the Warroad Care Center in Warroad.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 21, 2005 at 2 PM at the Woodland Bible Church in Warroad. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at the America Cemetery in Warroad.
Patricia Marie Hamlin, the daughter of Harold and Deloris Bakken, was born on August 6, 1952 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was one of ten children, having three brothers and six sisters. She attended school and graduated from Harding High School in St. Paul. She loved Home-Economics and Art classes. Patty married Leverne Hamlin on April 17, 1984. Patty worked as a nurse’s aide and also in various factories, while Leverne worked as a farmer.
Patty enjoyed playing bingo, reading her Bible, working on art projects, fishing and going to the county fair. She was a very caring person who loved her grandchildren. She enjoyed all aspects of life, especially gatherings with food and friends. She was a member of the Woodland Bible Church in Warroad.
She is survived by her husband, Leverne; daughter, Marie (Dan) Fryer of Thief River Falls; five grandchildren, Jason, Siawin, Isaac, Jacob and Peyton; sisters, Rosemary (George) Kostak of Stacey, Peggy (Bob) Johnson of Blaine, Kathy (Jack) Dennis of Indiana, Elaine Spencer of Fort Smith, Ark., Pauline Anderson of Ham Lake, and Diane (Bill) Johnson of Arcada, Fla.; and brothers, Dennis (Sue) Bakken of Blaine, David Bakken of North St. Paul, MN, and Donald Bakken of San Francisco, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Daniel.
