 Karlstad - Colleen Jan Swanson, 52, died at her home following a three year battle against breast cancer.
  Funeral services were held on Thursday, October 7 at First Lutheran Church in Karlstad, with Pastor Gary Halverson officiating. Casket bearers included Sam Arroyo, Dwight Undeberg, Tim Undeberg, Brian Undeberg, Dwayne Undeberg and Bradley Braun. Interment was held at Eidsvold Cemetery in Halma.
 Colleen Jan Swanson, the daughter of the late Helmer T. and Pearl (Boyd) Undeberg, was born on Nov. 26, 1951, in Hallock. She grew to womanhood in Halma, and was baptized and confirmed at the Eidsvold Lutheran Church.  Colleen graduated from Karlstad High School in 1969 and attended Northland Community & Technical College in Thief River Falls. 
 On Oct. 14, 1972, she was united in marriage to Robin Swanson in Halma, and the couple resided there for several years prior to moving to their present home in Arveson Township near Karlstad.  Colleen was employed as a para-professional at Tri-County Schools for the past 15 years. She was a member of First Lutheran Church of Karlstad where she taught Sunday school, Bible school, was a Youth Groups leader, and served on the church council as well as being active in W.E.L.C.A. 
 She was also a member of the Karlstad Eagles Auxiliary and a founding member of the “Swamp Rats” ATV Club. 
 She is survived by her husband, Robin; one daughter, Heather (Sam) Arroyo of Oakland, Calif..;  sons, Dustin and Brady, both of Moorhead; one sister, Paulette Kowalewski of Minneapolis;  brothers: Dwight (Sharon) Undeberg of Lake Bronson and Dwayne (Wanda) Undeberg of Halma;  one half-sister, Cordelia (Francis) DeLisle of Stephen.; one half-brother, Helmer (Marie) Undeberg of Eyota.; in addition to several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
 Colleen was preceded in death by her parents; and one half-sister, Elly Augustin. A00003B2004OT13
