Grafton, N.D. - Judy J. Johnson, 56, of Grafton, N.D., died on Saturday, July 9, at the Unity Medical Center of Grafton, N.D.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 15, at 10:30 a.m., at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church of Grafton, N.D. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church on Friday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held at the Spruce Valley Cemetery, near Middle River.
Judy J. Moen was born January 13, 1949 in Hill County, Havre Montana, the daughter of Stanley O. and Stella M. (Lamb) Moen. She grew up and attended schools in Havre.
On March 5, 1969 Judy married Wayne Johnson in Great Falls, MT. The couple moved to St. Augustine, Fla., and Judy lived there until 1975 when she moved back to Havre, Mont.
In 1978 she moved to Middle River and resided with her sister Ruby Moen. In 1985 she moved to Grafton, N.D., where she lived until her death. She worked at Arctic Cat in Thief River Falls, Marvin Windows in Warroad, the Developmental Center in Grafton, N.D., as well as the Granny’s Restaurant, Pizza Hut and the Lutheran Sunset Home. Ill health forced Judy to retire in October of 2002.
Judy is survived by her children, April Craft of Grand Forks, N.D., Kristen Ann Johnson of Athens, Ga., and Lynn (Johnson) Jones of Jonesboro, Ga.; her mother Stella Moen; brothers and sisters, Dolly (Elmer) Rasmussen, Ruby Moen, Arthur (Diane) Moen, all of Middle River; Wade Moen of Thief River Falls; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a special friend, who took care of her during her illness, Robert Zidon of Grafton, N.D.
She was preceded in death by her father Stanley Moen, uncle Marvin Moen, aunt Edna Moen and her grandparents.
