Ada - LeRoy Rucinski , 43, of Ada and formerly of Thief River Falls, died suddenly on Thursday, June 16, 2005 in his home.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 18, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Ada. Interment was held at Ada Municipal Cemetery.
LeRoy Eugene Rucinski was born on November 17, 1961, to Ralph and Frances (Wettschreck) Rucinski in Bemidji. He grew up and attended school in Warren, graduating from Warren High School in 1980. After graduation LeRoy entered the Minnesota National Guard and served four years. In 1984, he furthered his education at Thief River Technical College in Thief River Falls.
On October 11, 1986, LeRoy was united in marriage to Connie Rutz in Thief River Falls. They made their home in Moorhead, where LeRoy began working for Special Systems. In 1988, he began working for the Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton School system as a bus driver. In 2001, due to his health, he was forced to retire and in 2002, they moved to Ada.
LeRoy loved people, especially kids. He had quite a sense of humor and you could often find him telling a joke or playing a prank on someone. He enjoyed being outdoors; fishing, hunting and gardening were some of his favorite pastimes. He enjoyed military history, reading, gardening, and his dart league. He also enjoyed tinkering and working on the computer, and was a tremendous cook.
LeRoy is survived by his wife, Connie of Ada; father, Ralph of Warren; mother-in-law, Margie Rutz of Thief River Falls; sister-in-law, Anita and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
