Ellen Ethel (Larson) Langevin was born Jan. 5, 1944 in Rock Springs, Wyo., the daughter of Forrest and Ruth (Stenseth) Larson. At the age of 2, Ellen moved with her family to Thief River Falls. Ellen’s mother was later united in marriage to Norman Leader who, as her stepfather, was a major influence in her life. She attended school in Thief River Falls, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1962.
On Sept. 4, 1964 Ellen was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Mark Langevin in Thief River Falls. They made their home in St. Hilaire, raising four wonderful children: Dennis, Tina, Velvet, and Mary.
Over the years, Ellen was employed by Union State Bank and was a longtime, well known employee of K-Mart.
Ellen loved going to her grandchildren’s events and spending time with her family. Her favorite pastimes included playing bingo and going to the casino, where she enjoyed conversation with friends more than playing the games. She took pleasure in driving around the countryside looking for wildlife.

May her memory be blessed.
