Newfolden - Dolores Kujava, 86, Newfolden, died on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Karlstad Health Care Center in Karlstad.
The Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate the life of Dolores Kujava will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 22 at Assumption Catholic Church in Florian, with Father George Noel presiding. Casketbearers include Dolores’s grandchildren.  Interment will follow at the Assumption Catholic Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service on Wednesday, May 21, at Assumption Catholic Church in Florian.  Visitation will also be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, with a rosary to be recited at 10 a.m. at Assumption Catholic Church. 
Dolores Bella Donarski was born December 1, 1927, at home in Wright Township, Marshall County,  the daughter of John and Helen (Blazejewski) Donarski. She grew up in the Florian area, attended country school 138 in Wright Township, attended Newfolden High School for a year and then attended and graduated from Argyle High School, class of 1946.  Dolores worked at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, as a nurse’s aide.  She then moved to St. Louis, MO, where she became a babysitter, returning to Minnesota before her marriage.
On June 28, 1949, Dolores was united in marriage to Harry D. Kujava at the Alma church.  The couple bought a farm at Marsh Grove, where they lived all their married lives.  She also worked for Arctic Cat on the assembly line and then worked at Northern Pride Turkey plant, Thief River Falls, until her retirement in 1999.
Dolores was an active member of the Assumption Catholic Church and Assumption Ladies Group in Florian. Dolores enjoyed quilting for graduations, weddings and babies.
She is survived by six children: Peter, Warroad, Roger, Hawley, Betty (David) Conley, Warren,  Daniel (DeEtta), Newfolden, Adele (Todd) Aasen, Hillsboro, N.D., and Gordon (Colette), Newfolden; 12 grandchildren: Troy, Katie, Thad, Sarina, Trent, Harrison, John, Jacob, Joseph, Teri, Kelli and Alex; great-grandchildren: Marissa, Chloe, Mason, Marek, Tage; sisters: Florence (Emil) Kuznia, Stephen, and Veronica  Knoll, Crookston.
Dolores was preceded in death by husband, Harry in 1998; daughter, Joann in infancy; parents; daughter-in-law, Terrie; sister, Arlette Westberg and brothers, Allan and Louie Donarski.
