Forney, Texas - Caroline Muriel Carlson, 77, of Forney, and formerly of Farmington, was called to her heavenly home on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 26 at Celebration Church in Lakeville. Interment was held at Corinthian Cemetery, Farmington.
She was born Dec. 21, 1936 in Mavie, to Walter Leonard Asp and Muriel Eloise (Phelps) Asp. Caroline was the owner of a dry cleaning business, and she enjoyed sewing, gardening, spending time with her family and traveling. She previously attended Celebration Church in Lakeville, and was an active attendee of Lakeshore Assembly of God in Rockwall, Texas.
Caroline is survived by her son, Kevin Carlson and wife Chris of Ft. Worth, Texas, and formerly of Lakeville; daughter, Loretta Storbakken and husband Norman of Heath, Texas; brothers, Jim Asp and wife Jeanette of Thief River Falls; Joseph Asp of Thief River Falls; and Jonathan Asp of Roosevelt; sister, Johanna Krueger and husband Larry of Twin Lakes; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Kenneth Cedric Carlson; daughter, Angeline Haack; sister, Varadeen Christensen; brother, Frank Asp; and parents, Walter and Muriel Asp.
