Thief River Falls - Linda Erickson, 57, Thief River Falls, died peacefully in her sleep, on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at her residence.
Funeral services were held Saturay, April 5 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, with Rev. Greg Schram officiating. Interment was held at the Presbyterian Cemetery in Brooks.
Linda Lee Brown was born on March 11, 1957 in Red Lake Falls, the daughter of Donavon “Don” and Lenore “Lee” (Lanska) Brown. She was baptized at the First Baptist Church in Thief River Falls and confirmed at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls.
She attended Northrop Elementary, Franklin Middle and Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls graduating in 1975.
On April 17, 1976, Linda was united in marriage to Keith Erickson at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls. The couple has lived in Thief River Falls their whole life.
Linda worked at Northwestern Hospital, Turkey Plant, Oakland Park, Arctic Cat, 7-11, managed Kum & Go, Walmart, and retired for health reasons.
Linda loved knitting, crocheting, making dolls and doilies, and Linda loved her dog “Kosta-lota.” She especially loved going to the lake in the summer and fishing.
Linda was a member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her loving husband of 38 years, Keith; father, Don Brown both of Thief River Falls; sister, Pam (Neil) Konickson of Plummer; sister-in-law, Melodee Brown of Thief River Falls; 13 nieces and nephews; several aunts and uncles; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mom, “Lee” on March 17, 2014; her brother, Mike; niece, Brandy; grandparents, Oscar and Blanche Brown & Bernard “Barney” and Virgine Lanska; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Stanley and Agnes Erickson.
