Thief River Falls - Jeffrey Boe, 53, Thief River Falls died unexpectedly Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, in a home he was renting near Warroad.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at the Evangelical Free Church in Newfolden, with Pastor Gary Barrett and Pastor Ollie Urdahl co-officiating. Interment will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Newfolden.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 7p.m. prayer service on Monday, February 24, 2014 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN.
Jeffrey Wayne Boe was born on August 29, 1960 in Karlstad, MN the son of Gene and Beverly (Skadsem) Boe.  He was baptized and confirmed in the Christian Faith and attended school in Buffalo, Wyoming, Viking and Newfolden, MN, graduating in 1978.
He moved to Williston, ND and worked in the oil fields until 1982.  Jeffrey worked in construction for Cal Sorenson Construction, Thygeson Construction and Hjelle Roofing.  For the last few years Jeffrey has worked throughout the upper Midwest for Wanzek Construction as a heavy equipment operator. 
Jeffrey loved to love.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  A few weeks ago he said, “Mom, I’ve had a good life.”  Instead of saying “goodbye”, Jeffrey would say “love you always!”  His heart was as big as the outdoors that Jeffrey loved.  Family and friends were the most important part of his life.
Survivors include his three sons, Nicholas Wilcox of Thief River Falls, MN, Derek Borgen and his special friend, (Stacy) Turnquist) of Elk River, MN and David Wilcox of Viking, MN; mother, Beverly Boe of Thief River Falls, MN; brother, Steven Boe and his special friend, Kim Carlson of Woodbury, MN; grandmother, Lucile Skadsem of Thief River Falls, MN; three grandsons, Caden Alan Borgen, Bridger Wilcox and Landon Borgen; two granddaughters, Skyanna Wilcox and Madison Borgen; two nephews, Brandon Boe and Caden Jared Boe; one niece, Brittney (TJ) Formaneck; godparents, Merlin (Kathy) Boe and Ila (Myron) Anderson; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father, Gene Boe; brother, Jared Boe; grandfathers, Nels Boe and Arthur Skadsem; grandmother, Pearl Boe; aunts and uncle, Dale (Arlene) Carew, Karen Skadsem; and three cousins.
