Minerva T. Kraulik, 91 Print E-mail

 Karlstad -  Minerva Theon Kraulik, 91, died on Sunday morning, May 29, 2005 at the Karlstad Healthcare Center in Karlstad.
 Funeral services were held on Thursday, June 2, at First Lutheran Church in Karlstad, with Pastor Gary Halverson officiating. Casket bearers included Jonathan Thompson, Brent Thompson, Karen Thompson, Maggie Wenger, Jeni Sarkilahti, Patrick Sarkilahti, Donald Lund, Dennis  Lund, Barry Lund, John Lund,  Geoff Kraulik, Jennifer Kraulik and Andrew Kraulik. Interment was held at Karlstad Cemetery in Karlstad.
  Minerva Theon Kraulik, the daughter of the late Martin and Anna (Sylskar Nelson) Lund, was born on June 3, 1913, in Donaldson. She grew to womanhood in Donaldson, and graduated from Stephen High School in 1932. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Donaldson.
 Minerva was employed as a welder at the San Francisco ship yards for two years. On Sept. 22, 1946, she was united in marriage to Edward Kraulik in Anoka. Following their marriage, the couple lived in Anoka for five years, then moved to the Lund Farm in the Karlstad community where they resided for ten years. They moved to Minneapolis where they made their home for 27 years. 
 Minerva was employed at Lakeside Industries in Minneapolis. Following retirement, they moved to the Strandquist and Karlstad area. Edward passed away Dec. 5, 1990, and Minerva made her home in Strandquist. From 1992 until 2002, she lived with her daughter, Leni, and her family in Virginia state. Minerva enjoyed quilting, reading, and flowers. She especially loved to bake and cook. 
 Since January of 2002, she resided at the Karlstad Healthcare Center in Karlstad.
 She is survived by two daughters, Phaela (David) Thompson,  of Strandquist and Leni (Barry) Sarkilahti of Vienna, Va.; one son, Orlean, of Minneapolis; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; in addition to several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
 Minerva was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one granddaughter; five brothers, Abel, Norris, Ruben, Orlean, and Morris; and two sisters: Alma and Myrtle.  A00003B2005JN08
