Lane Jay Bass was born June 29, 2013, two minutes after his twin sister, Rydyn. When he was born Lane lit up the world for his parents and family. He was three months premature and spent 75 days in the NICU. The doctors and nurses called him the “Rockstar” of the NICU, always exceeding all expectations.
Even though he was very young, he loved Spongebob Squarepants, getting upset when he wasn’t on the TV screen.
Lane was content being with his mommy and daddy, his big brother, Kemper and his big sister, Aziah. The family dog, Jaxs entertained Lane as he had a close eye on him.
Lane is survived by his parents, Joshua Bass and Annie Engelstad of Thief River Falls; siblings, Kemper, Aziah, and Rydyn; grandparents, Kim Engelstad (Debbie Thorpe) of Thief River Falls, Jan Engelstad (Monty Thygeson) of Thief River Falls, Jeff and Tammy Bass of Michigan; great-grandparents, Linda and Dick Roberts of Reed City, Mich., and Doris and Gary Bass of Reed City, Mich., and Betty Laufman of Thief River Falls; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and relatives.
Preceding him in death are great-grandparents, Jim (Pops) and Betty Engelstad; great-uncles, Kip Roberts and Gary Bass and cousin, Isabella Brooklyn.
