Morristown, N.J. - Andy I. Wilson, 91, of Morristown, N.J., formerly of Hazel, died on Sunday at New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home, Menlo Park, N.J.
A memorial service was held at the August F. Schmidt Memorial Funeral Home in Elizabeth, N.J., on Friday, May 10.
Born in Hazel, he ived in San Mateo, Calif., for most of his life before moving to Morristown several years ago. He was a major general in the Army, serving in World War II and the Korean War. He was then sent to Vietnam as an adviser. After Vietnam he earned the distinguished title of major general.
He was employed as a cathartic protection specialist for Calprico, a company he founded in So. San Francisco, Calif. He had many patents for his inventions over the years.
Andy was written up in "Who's Who of America" and California. He was a graduate of West Point and Tulane University.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Louise O'Connor Wilson of Morristown; two sons, Dr. Andrew Wilson of Monterey, Calif., and Carey Wilson of San Mateo, Calif.; and two stepsons, Richard R. O'Connor Jr. of Morristown and Martin B. O'Connor II of New Vernon, N.J.
He was preceded in death by his son, Peter Wilson.
