Hallock - Delores “Toody” Minske, 57, of Hallock died at her home on Sunday, May 15, 2005.
Delores Irene Overbye was born in Thief River Falls on September 3, 1947, the daughter of Harvey and Esther (Dahle) Overbye. Toody graduated from Thief River Falls High School in 1965.
On April 8, 1967 she was united in marriage to Lyndon Minske in Thief River Falls. They settled in Hallock and
raised their family there. Toody worked part-time for Jack Reese and later for Julie Younggren at the Flower Shop. In 1991, she began working at Grace Lutheran Church and continued there until 2000 when she became part of the Kittson Central High School Staff. Toody was always active in her church and community. She served on the Kittson Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Board, the church council, and the Eagles Auxiliary. Toody was also a Past Worthy Matron for the Eastern Star and Past Worthy Grand Ruth.
Toody loved spending time with her family and always had a kind word and smile for everyone she met.
Survivors include her husband, Lyndon; two sons, Troy (Paula) of Princeton and Daryn (Annie) of Audubon; twin daughters, Sarah Beth of Karlstad and Nicole Marie of Apple Valley; her mother, Esther Anderson of Thief River Falls; brothers, Harold (Arlene) Overbye of Lakeville, Mark Anderson of Newfolden, Palmer (Ardell) Overbye of Tavares, Fla., Alvin (Doris) Overbye of Elk River, Art (Darleen) Overbye of Franklin, Wis., George (Pam) Overbye of Lino Lakes; sisters, Karen (Dave) Johnson of Dayton and Jody (Ryan) Harger of Chesterville, Ohio; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Overbye of Lakeville.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; her father; and a brother, Arlen Overbye.
