Salinas, Calif. - Delores M. Lokken, 83, of Salinas, Calif., died Wednesday, March 6, 2013.
Funeral services will be held at a later date in Thief River Falls.
Delores Johnson was born April 3, 1929 in Thief River Falls, the daughter of Edward and Anna Johnson. She attended country school and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1947.
In 1949, Delores married LeRoy Lokken and they continued to live in Thief River Falls until 1961, when they moved to Salinas, Calif. While living in Thief River Falls, Delores worked at the Pennington County Court House and Northwestern Bell.
Delores was a secretary for Salinas School System for 30 years. She was also a member of Valley Guild and volunteered at the John Steinbeck House.
She was an avid quilter, sewer and knitter and also enjoyed gardening and reading.
Delores was preceded in death by her brothers, James Johnson, Donald Johnson and Lyle Johnson.
She is survived by her husband, LeRoy Lokken of Salinas, Calif.; son, Steven Lokken of Colorado Springs, Colo.; sisters, Judy (Bill) Schriver of Salinas, Sharon (Bob) Benson of Thief River Falls, Arlene Wavra of Red Lake Falls, Jeanette Johnson of Hibbing, Betty Noto of Mukilteo, Wash.; brothers, Wayne (Diane) Johnson of Thief River Falls; Earl (Lila) Johnson of Ipswitch, S.D., Larry (Sandy) Johnson of Edmonds, Wash.; 4 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. ?A00003B2013MR13
