Minneapolis - Donald Gordon "Tubby" Kezar, 89, of Minneapolis and formerly of Middle River, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013.
Memorial services were held Wednesday, Jan. 16, at Walker Methodist HCC Chapel in Minneapolis. Interment will be held in Oakland, Minn., at a later date.
Donald was born in Middle River on Oct. 27, 1923. He attended the Faribault School for the Blind. He retired from the State of Minnesota vending machine programs.
Don enjoyed listening to sports, telling stories, reading, playing cards, and food. Special thanks to all the staff and Don's friends at Walker Methodist HCC.
He is survived by wife of 61 years, Elverna; daughters, Marsha (Bob) Bren, Pamela (Gordon) Martin, and Diane (Randal) Hancock; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Gregory, Tate, Sabrina, Bryan, Laura, and Patrick; great-granddaughter, Emily; brother, Elworth "Teck"; sister, Dorothy; special nephew, Mitch; and many other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by parents, Samuel and Amanda; brothers, Myron "Curly" and Dennis "Otto"; nephews, Steven and Daniel; grandson, Adam.
