Goodridge - Kenneth Wiseth, 78, Goodridge, died on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013 at the Thief River Care Center in Thief River Falls, with his loving wife of 58 years, Marilyn, at his side.
Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 14 at Faith Lutheran Church in Goodridge, with Rev. Robert Dahlen officiating.  Casket bearers included Kenny’s grandsons: Troy Paulson, Robbie Hyland, Steven Wiseth, Stacy Wiseth, Derrek Hyland, Justin Wiseth, Briar Verbout, Spencer Wiseth and Jesse Wiseth. Honorary casket bearers included Paul Puppe, Galen Dahlen, Sherman Groven, Vance Wiseth, Doug Horachek, Roger Coan, Robert Coan, and all of Kenny’s neighbors and co-workers. Interment was held at the Goodridge Cemetery.
Kenneth LeRoy Wiseth was born on Dec. 19, 1934 in Thief River Falls, the son of Roy E. and Ida Teresa (Pederson) Wiseth. He was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Goodridge, and attended Goodridge Public School; high school graduate in 1952.
On Feb. 20, 1954, Kenneth was united in marriage to Marilyn Anderson at Grace Lutheran Church in Grygla. They made their home in Langdon, N.D., where Kenneth worked for a farmer. In the fall of 1954, they moved to Thief River Falls and then to a farm west of Thief River Falls. In 1961, they moved to Goodridge and purchased land in Moylan Township.  In 1969, the family moved to their new homestead on the farm. In 1978, Kenny and Marilyn sold their land and built a new house in Highlanding, and in 1993, they downsized to a smaller home on the same property.  
In February 2012, they moved to the Thief River Care Center in Thief River Falls.
While operating their small grain and pig farm, Kenny worked at Farmers Union Elevator from 1954-1961, Hartz Wholesale until retirement in 1992, various area farmers including Coan Farms and Vance Wiseth Farms, and Seven Clans Casino until 2007.
As an adult, he loved participating in bowling and golfing leagues, playing whist, watching any kind of sporting event, engaging in political discussion, and he was always a farmer at heart. In his younger years, Kenny enjoyed snowmobiling, dancing, curling, and playing amateur baseball and basketball.  
Kenny was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and Lions Club in Goodridge and the Masonic Lodge in Thief River Falls.
Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Marilyn of Thief River Falls; children, Terry (Darlene) Wiseth of Thief River Falls, Diane (Dave) Paulson of Goodridge, Shelly (Arden) Hyland of Glenwood, and Tony (Carol) Wiseth of Goodridge; grandchildren, Stephanie Wiseth, Steven (fianceé Kristina) Wiseth, Stacy Wiseth, Sallie Wiseth, Spencer Wiseth, Nicole (Jim) Kennedy, Troy (Rachel) Paulson, Robbie (fiancé, Emily) Hyland, Kiley (Dan) Hicks, Kasey (Justin) Douvier, Derrek Hyland, Justin Wiseth, Briar Verbout,  Alex Wiseth and Jesse Wiseth; great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Matt Kennedy, Gabriel Paulson, Bentley Douvier, Adlee Hicks and Kylee DeFrang; brother, Lloyd Wiseth of Goodridge, Dean (Ione) Wiseth of Inver Grove Heights; sister, Jean “Tootsie” (Sherman) Groven of Goodridge; sister-in-law, Ethel Wiseth of McIntosh; brothers-in-law, Gordon (Patty) Anderson of Pine Island, and Larry Anderson of Fargo, N.D.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Wiseth; an infant brother; sister, Bette (Bud) Olson; brother-in-law, Arvid Anderson; sisters-in-law, Elaine Wiseth, Sylvia Wiseth, Arlene (Vernon) Brateng; and brother-in-law, Jack Anderson.
