Roseau - Adella Pearson, 71, died Tuesday, Jan. 8 at LifeCare Manor in Roseau. She was 71 years old.
Funeral services were held on Monday, Jan. 14, at Helgeson Funeral Chapel in Roseau.
Adella Pearson was born on May 5, 1941 in Grygla, to Grace Nellie Mae (Taylor) and Howard Oliver Tweten. She attended Knox Elementary School and Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls, graduating in 1960.
Adella worked at the Dine-A-Mite Drive Inn and Mint Café in Thief River Falls, was a nurse’s aide for sometime, and also a dispatcher for a taxi service in Thief River Falls. She lived in Wisconsin, Illinois, Bismarck, Warroad, and Roseau.
Adella enjoyed embroidery painting, reading, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, crocheting and especially spending time with her family. She enjoyed visiting with her friends and family at the nursing home. She was a prayer warrior and spent several hours praying for people each day.
She is survived by her children: Kurt Holt of Roseau, Kevin (Coralee) Holt of Roseau, Kimberly (Jamie) Gust of Roseau, Darla Swanson of Thief River Falls, and Kenton (Donna) Bailey of Ham Lake; grandchildren: Justin, Todd, Aaron, Ashley, Katie, C.J., Kelsey, Seth, Shania, Sidney, Jasmine, Kody, and Tessa; great-grandchildren: Taryn, Aspen, Caydun, Jenieva, and Levi; siblings: Bernice (Roger) Skime, Helma Knapp, Sharon (Al) Paggen, Gary (Diane) Tweten, Wayne (LuAnn) Tweten, Nona Tweten, and Jean (Mark) Colliflower.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Jamie Swanson, and brother-in-law Wally Knapp.
Helgeson Funeral Chapel was entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
