    Thief River Falls - Harry Huseth, 88, of Thief River Falls, died on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012 at Sanford Medical Center in Thief River Falls.
    Funeral Services were held on Monday, Dec. 17 at Zion Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, with Rev. Ale Tulu officiating. Interment was held at Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls.
    Harry Edgar Huseth was born in Grygla on April 20, 1924, the son of Erick and Inga (Strandvold) Huseth.  He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.  Harry attended Northrop School and Lincoln High School, graduating in 1943.
    Following High School, Harry enlisted with the U.S. Army. He was stationed for three years in Germany during World War II. Harry was honorably discharged in 1946. He was very proud to serve his country.
    When Harry returned from the war he met and married Jean Johnson.  The couple had four children together: Richard, Renae, Sheryl, and Shelly. They made their home in Thief River Falls.
    On Oct. 16, 1961 Harry married the love of his life, Arlene (Markuson) Eliason at Zion Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls.  Harry and his daughters with Arlene and her daughters (Renee, Darlene and Putzy) made their home in Thief River Falls.  To this family one son was born, Wayne.
    As a young man Harry worked for Adolphson Huseth Construction where he worked for many years building roads throughout Northwestern Minnesota.  Later he worked for the Gambles Hardware Store in Thief River Falls. From 1960 until 1985, Harry worked for the United States Postal Service, retiring in 1985.
    Harry loved riding motorcycle and traveling. For many years he helped Bob Loeffler drive cars from Chicago to Thief River Falls.  Harry enjoyed dining out and visiting with his family and friends. He also enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins and the Vikings, listening to music, and watching television.
    He was a member of the American Legion Post 117, VFW Post 2793, and the Eagle’s Club, all in Thief River Falls.
    Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Arlene of Thief River Falls; children, Renae (David) Pfleuger, Sheryl “Cher” Thomazin, Shelly “Michelle” Holland, Renee (Bernard) Fallon, Darlene (Terry) Wiseth, Charlene “Putzy” (Tim) Raiter and Wayne (Sheri) Huseth; grandchildren, Kelly Reid, Casey (Christina) Pfleuger, Lindsey (Jonathon) Juliot, Matthew Thomazin, Aaron (Jen) Thomazin, Sarah (Shannon) Park, Alisha (Matt) Atkins, Jolene (Kyle) Qualley, Benjamin Fallon, Brian Fallon, Stephanie Wiseth, Steven (fiance, Kristina DeFrang) Wiseth, Stacy Wiseth, Sallie Wiseth, Spencer Wiseth, Heather (Jeff ) Franson, Heidi (Chad) Paulson, Hunter Wright, Zane Huseth, and Shelby Huseth; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother-in-law, Gordon Froseth; many cousins, relatives, and friends.
    He is preceded in death by his son, Richard; father, sister, Beulah Froseth; mother; brother-in-law, Morris Olson; son-in-law, Jon Holland and sister, Dorothy Olson.
