Plummer - Jeffrey Grove, 28, died on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012 at his home in rural Plummer.
Services were held Tuesday, Nov. 20 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls with Fr. Chuck Huck and Fr. Pat Sullivan officiating. Interment was held at St. Anthony Cemetery, Terrebonne.
Jeffrey John Grove was born Feb. 23, 1984, the son of Rodney and Diane Grove at Thief River Falls. He was raised in Terrebonne, and attended school in Red Lake Falls, graduating from High school in 2002. Jeff was baptized at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Terrebonne and confirmed at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls. Following high school Jeff attended Northland Community and Technical College in East Grand Forks, for Carpentry.
On Oct. 7, 2006 Jeff was united in marriage to Amber Westlake at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Plummer. They made their home in Plummer, and were blessed to raise their children, Jacob, Landen, and Jaxen.
While growing up, Jeff enjoyed helping his father in the family construction business. After college he worked alongside his father, Rodney and his brother, Jeremy at Grove and Sons Construction. He also owned and operated his own seamless gutter business. He took a lot of pride in all of his work.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, racing snowmobiles and dirt bikes, and had a special interest in trees, which earned him the name of “Tree Whisperer.” Jeff’s personality was one of being willing to help anyone with anything. He loved to joke around with his family and friends. Spending time with his dogs was an important part of his life. Of all his interests and accomplishments, his greatest was being a father to his boys. His family will remember him as a wonderful and loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend.
