Crookston - Mary Gladys Bollinger, 93, of Crookston, formerly of Thief River Falls, died at home on Sunday, Nov. 11 of natural causes.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15 at Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls.
She was born on April 20, 1919 in Radville, Saskatchewan, Canada, the daughter of Thomas and Anna Maanum.
Mary was united in marriage to Charles Bollinger on Dec. 25, 1945 and celebrated 40 years of marriage until his death in 1986. The couple farmed for many years in Vineland Township.
Mary was very fond of her Scandinavian heritage and one of her highlights was traveling to Norway and visiting her father’s birthplace in Lillehammer.
She was a member of the Sons of Norway and the Eagles Lodge.
Family members include her late husband Charles, a son, Mylan, of Crookston, and a son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Sharon, of Naperville, Illinois and five grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Clarence and sister, Amanda Johnson and survived by her sister Clara Rasmussen.
