    Effie - Phyllis Nancy Lund, 81, of Effie and formerly of Thief River Falls, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012 in Bigfork.
    Funeral services will be held on at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27 at United Methodist Church in Thief River Falls. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 26 at Carroll Funeral Home in Bigfork, and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Interment will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls.
    Phyllis was born and raised in Thief River Falls. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls and the Minnesota School of Business in Minneapolis.  She split her time between being a wife, mother, homemaker, and a school secretary, during her working career.  Phyllis volunteered at the Bigfork hospital during her retirement.  
    Among many other things she was a Worthy Matron of the order of the eastern star in Thief River Falls. She was Involved with the Carpenter Township. Phyllis Loved family, sports, reading and people. Memorial may be made to the Bigfork Hospital Auxiliary.  
    She is survived by daughter  Nancy (Bert) Crane, Son Mark (Janis) Lund, Grandchildren Phyllis (Kenneth) Braud & John Crane, one great-grand daughter.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Derwood “Swede” Lund.
