Federal Way, Wash. - Wallace John Carlson, 87, died April 3, 2005 at St. Francis Hospital in Federal Way, Wash.
Wallace John Carlson was born in Thief River Falls on December 11, 1917, to Anton and Marie (Sevre) Carlson. He was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith. He attended school in Thief River Falls and graduated from Lincoln High School.
On February 17, 1941, Wallace married Alice Protz. In February 1943, they moved to Ogden, Utah, where he was employed with the Air Service Command. He then joined the Navy, where he served his country through the end of World War II in 1945.
Wallace and his family moved to Seattle, Wash. in 1947. He was employed with the Carnation Company until he retired in 1978.
Wallace was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Elks Club. Wallace and his wife Alice enjoyed their retirement by traveling in their motor home to Palm Springs and Phoenix for 13 years. In June 2001, Wallace and Alice moved to Palisades at Dash Point, a Federal Way condominium community.
Wallace is survived by his wife, Alice; his son, Richard; daughter, Susan; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and one sister, Eleanor Christofferson.
