 Thief River Falls - Marion Lorenson, 85, died on Sunday, October 03, 2004 at Valley Home, Thief River Falls.
  Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 7, at Zion Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, with Rev. Dennis Raymond officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls.
 Visitation will be at Zion Lutheran Church for one hour prior to services.
 Family service will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday (today), October 6, at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls.
 Marion Borghild Green was born June 4, 1919 at St. John’s Hospital in Fargo, N.D., the daughter of Carl Martin and Marion Violet (Fanning) Green. She was baptized at Audubon Lutheran Church, Audubon. 
 She moved to Thief River Falls  from Fargo, N.D., with her family when Marion was three years old.  She was confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls. Marion attended Knox Elementary School and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1937. 
 Marion was united in marriage to Palmer Lorenson on January 13, 1944 at home in Thief River Falls, where Palmer and Marion continued to make their home.
 Marion was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls, where she was active in teaching Sunday school and WELCA.
 Survivors include her husband Palmer of Thief River Falls; daughters, Sandra Carter of Plymouth and Claudia (Roland Pickard) Lorenson of Cotopaxi, Colo.; sisters, Dorothy Soeby of Tillmook, Ore., Hildegard Hamre of Thief River Falls, Carmen (Clifford) Larson of Thief River Falls, Helen Seline of Albert Lea; brothers, Paul (Glorian) Green of Edina, and Donald (Phyllis) Green of Fargo, N.D.; four grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews.
 She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Carl Green; and brothers-in-law, Herbert Seline, Ben Hamre, and William Soeby.
